  • Newborn babies require diaper changes more frequently than older babies. In the first 48 hours, newborns may only have one or two wet diapers, but this can increase to up to 12 diaper changes per day during the first month.

    After the first month, babies tend to use up to 10 diapers per day until they are four months old. From five to eight months, babies may use up to nine diapers per day, and from nine to 12 months, they may use up to seven. Diapers should be changed every two to four hours, or whenever they are soiled, to prevent skin irritation and rashes.
